Hydraulic cylinders that don’t fail without warning
Cylinders move the boom, steer the machine, tip the bucket. When they fail — seal leaks, a scored barrel or rod, a fatigued mounting — the machine stops until the cylinder is repaired or replaced. Alongside pumps, hydraulic cylinders are the spare part most requested day to day in an underground mining workshop.

Where to find the data
The cylinder’s OEM reference is usually stamped near the rod anchor, or on a plate riveted to the barrel. If you can’t find it, barrel diameter, rod diameter and stroke measurements work just as well.
Remanufacturing
When the barrel is scored or the rod is pitted beyond tolerance, before buying a new cylinder we assess remanufacturing — barrel honing, rod re-chroming and new seals, to original technical specification. It’s the fastest route on legacy Tamrock fleets, where a new cylinder from the original manufacturer can take weeks.
